Organization Chart

A few years back, my employer, an environmental engineering firm, had a problem. Its organization chart was a relic of 1950s hierarchical thinking, cramming staff into a few overly-tidy categories, and failing to reflect their extensive cross-training and international experience. It took a lot of iteration and fiddling, but I came up with a solution that could help a lot of firms convey their true character. (The firm’s identity and the names of staff members have been cunningly disguised.)
